What’s This About?

This little project is about one thing: sharing outdoor experiences in the Pacific Northwest. It’s what I love to do. It makes my inner geek really happy. Maybe it will make you happy.

Because getting out in nature, even looking at pictures of nature, makes us feel better. So does reading about it. Science tells us this, and I think we know it instinctively. And who doesn’t want to feel better?

Getting out in the wild benefits all of us, especially kids, who spend too much time inside and not enough time outside gazing at clouds or learning wildflowers or just playing with frogs. Like so many of us, they’re losing that crucial connection with nature.

Should that concern you? I think so. If the next generation has no passion for the wild, who’s left to watch over it?
